Our Silver Lining Concepts learning system goes beyond job training and teaches skills that lead to success both now and in the future. For example, a pillar of our program is learning how to set clear goals that keep us inspired along every stage of our career journeys.
We help our crew set daily, weekly, yearly, five-year, and 10-year goals using the SMART system. SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relatable, and Time-sensitive, and using these five traits as a filter we can turn any vague wish into an action plan.
For example, many of us have a goal of running our own Silver Lining Concepts office one day. This can be earned in much less than 10 years but for the sake of our example we’ll just say it’s a 10-year goal.
Using SMART, this target would become: To run my own satellite office within 10 years so I can help other professionals achieve the success they want in their own careers. By setting the long-term goal first, we can then create a timeline stretching from there back to where we are now and create milestones along the way by which we can measure progress on a daily, monthly, and annual basis.
We want our team members to achieve their potential, so we teach the skills that will help them grow. Like Silver Lining Concepts on Facebook to learn more of our goal-setting techniques.
